Wear rubber gloves and eye protection. Do not add water to Caustic Soda; always add Caustic Soda to water. Do not use aluminium, galvanised or clear plastic containers for making up solutions.
For cleaning blocked drains: Solwly add contents (500 g) to 5 litres of water. Carefully stir it in (using a wooden stick or spoon). The solution will heat up and can be poured, with care, down the drain. After 30 minutes flush the drain with hot boiling water.
For cleaning basins, sinks and sanitising: Wash with a solution of 5-6 teaspoons of Caustic Soda to 500ml of cold water. After cleaning rinse thoroughly with cold water.
For cleaning and removing oil from paths and concrete etc.: Prepare a solution as for cleaning blocked drains. Pour the solution onto the stain and scrub with a brush. Leave for 30 minutes and rinse away with cold water.
Causes severe burns; Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
