Each 15 ml contains 22.5 mg benzydamine hydrochloride. The solution also contains the following inactive ingredients: glycerol, saccharin sodium, mouthwash flavour 52 503/T Firmenich, polysorbate 20, methyl hydroxybenzoate, Quinoline Yellow (E104), Patent Blue V (E131) and purified water. Each 15 ml of solution also contains 1.5 ml of alcohol (ethanol).
•If you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant or are trying for a baby, you should tell your pharmacist, or doctor, before using this cream.
•Do not use Difflam Oral Rinse if you know you are allergic to benzydamine or any of the other ingredients.
Please follow the instructions given to you by your doctor or dentist.
The usual dose is 15 ml of solution to be used every one-and-a-half to three hours for relief of pain.
The solution should be rinsed around the mouth or used as a gargle for 20 to 30 seconds and then spat out.
This solution should not be swallowed.
This solution should not be used for more than 7 days unless your doctor or dentist tells you to.
If your condition gets worse or does not get better, please tell your doctor, dentist or pharmacist.
If you are not sure how much solution to use or when to use it, please ask your doctor, dentist or pharmacist.
Like other medications, this solution may cause some side-effects.
After using this solution your mouth may feel numb. This is harmless and will disappear with time. If this solution stings your mouth, the next dose can be diluted with some water to reduce this effect.If you notice any other side-effects, please tell your doctor, dentist or pharmacist.
As with all medicines some people may be allergic to Difflam Oral Rinse. Usually, if you are allergic, a reaction will occur soon after using the product. An allergic reaction can occur as a rash, small red spots on the skin, itching, or the skin may also become more sensitive to sunlight. In rare cases, difficulty in breathing and swelling of the throat may occur, which may need emergency treatment.
If you experience any of these symptoms, stop the treatment and seek medical advice immediately.
Store this solution in a safe place where children cannot reach it, between 5°C and 30°C. Do not freeze. If you store the product without the original carton, make sure it is kept out of direct sunlight.
Do not use this product after the expiry date printed on the original carton.
If your doctor or dentist decides to stop treatment, return any unused solution to your doctor or pharmacist.
